Elizabeth and Cole’s story began on October 31, 2020 — and from the very beginning, it just felt right. There was an instant sense of comfort, the kind that makes you feel like you’ve known someone far longer than you actually have.

 

Their first date set the tone perfectly: four-wheeling at Cole’s family property in Douglas. A little adventurous, definitely not your average first date — but it felt completely natural. Somewhere between the trails, the laughter, and getting to know one another, they both realized this was the start of something special.

 

As the years went on, their relationship grew into a true partnership built on love, trust, and a shared sense of humour. Together, they’ve built a life filled with quiet nights in, big plans for the future, and plenty of laughs along the way. Along for many of those moments has been Daisy — a very loved yellow lab who reminds everyone that she has a strong opinion about where she sits, who she cuddles, and when it’s time to relax.

 

On Thanksgiving weekend, surrounded by family, food, and love, Cole asked Elizabeth to spend forever with him — and she said yes. It was heartfelt, joyful, and exactly how a proposal should be.

 

Now, as they look ahead to October 17, 2026, Elizabeth and Cole are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of their story with the people who mean the most to them. They can’t wait to say “I do,” continue building a life together, and begin this next adventure — with love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories ahead.
